West Coast Investment Research Challenge
2010/11
New to the 2010 Global IRC is the division of the local challenge into two regions – BC and the Prairie provinces. CFA Vancouver will be hosting the West Coast Investment Research Challenge with the support of CFA Victoria and the Okanagan CFA Society. The benefit of this change is that BC is guaranteed to have one university represented at the Americas Regional Challenge in April. Participating universities include SFU, UBC, UVIC, TRU, and UBC Okanagan.
The CFA Institute’s Investment Research Challenge offers university students the unique opportunity to learn from leading industry experts and their peers from the world’s top business schools. This annual educational initiative is designed to promote best practices in equity research among the next generation of analysts through hands-on mentoring and intensive training in company analysis and presentation skills.
